FACE REALITY ACNE BOOTCAMP
Face Reality Skincare is an award-winning acne brand that we partner with to provide our Acne Bootcamp program. We provide a customized skincare routine and treatment plans to help clear acne. The system includes a combination of clinical-grade products, twice-monthly treatments, and a series of at-home skincare products. We underwent extensive training with Face Reality; as well as outside, independent research, gaining a well-rounded and in-depth understanding of what acne is, how it can be treated, and so much more. Additionally, we are 3x trained in performing chemical peels and extractions. We are currently undergoing additional training to become duel-certified in treating acne. Clearing acne is our passion and we strive to be as educated as possible in order to best serve you!

Program Introduction

Your first steps to clear skin:
Here we go over informational documents, access to the acne portal, a video, contracts, and agreement forms. We will analyze your skin and run a few sensitivity tests to determine which products suit you best.
You will receive your starting home care products (Typically around $150) along with a descriptive, step-by-step instructive calendar. Product cost is not included in the treatment cost. You can expect to spend around $300 on products in total throughout the program, not including product restock costs. These are professional grade, acne safe, and a critical part of your treatment series.
You will be expected to discontinue all current skincare products and completely switch over to the new regimen, unless directed otherwise. You will also be expected to switch over all non-acne-safe makeup, haircare, and oral care products. We are happy to give a range of acne-safe replacement recommendations suiting a variety of budgets.

Acne Bootcamp Treatments
$98
Can be scheduled by clients who have already gone through the introductory appointment. These appointments will take place every two weeks as necessary. Once we reach this point, appointments may be spaced out every four weeks. We will continue to listen to your skin and adjust frequency of treatments as needed.
Each treatment consists of an enzyme exfoliation or chemical peel along with extractions, a hydrating or brightening mask as time allows, and finishing products (toner, hydrator, moisturizer, sunscreen). Everything is included in the program treatments and you will not be charged any add-on costs.
This is not a facial- it is a skin clearing treatment. Some clients find the extraction process to be uncomfortable. Extractions play a key roll in the clearing process but may be skipped if requested. No change in appointment cost will be made if you choose to forgo extractions and you can expect the treatment course to take longer. That being said, we do all we can to ensure you are comfortable during your treatment.
FAQs
How old do I have to be to join the program?
For all appointments, any minor being treated must be accompanied by a legal guardian. While acne can be treated at any age, our program requires consistency in home care, diet, and lifestyle changes. It's important that you and your child are on the same page and that your child really wants to undergo treatment and commit to the program.
Can you guarantee that I will get clear?
The Face Reality Acne Bootcamp program offers a 95% success rate; however, since every person's skin is different and will respond differently to products used and changes made, we can never guarantee clearing. Additionally, our program focuses on acne breakouts only. While the program may slightly improve post-acne marks and scars such as post inflammatory hyperpigmentation, post inflammatory erythema, and textural scars; additional products and treatments would be required to treat these outside the bootcamp program once graduated.
How long do results last?
In this program, we give you the tools to manage your acne, as acne cannot be cured. What gets you clear is generally what will keep you clear. Use of your home-care products will most likely need to continue, as well as diet and lifestyle changes. Once you are clear and graduated from our program, you can still reach out to us for guidance at any point and access to the Acne Portal will remain open. If you would like to continue receiving maintenance treatments, the Acne Facial is acne safe and utilizes many of the same products from the program appointments!
I'm on a prescription for my acne. Can I continue using this?
Most acne prescriptions must be discontinued at least 2 weeks prior to your initial treatment. Many of these medications can make your skin more sensitive and can disrupt barrier health. In order to take part in this treatment program, we need to be able to use stronger topical products which we are unable to do if you are on certain acne medications. If you have taken accutane, use of that must be discontinued for at least 12 months before we can treat you. An example of a medication that can work alongside this program is Spironolactone. Please message us before your initial consult if you are unsure about being able to join the program while on a certain medication. This is not medical advice to discontinue medication, only a statement that certain medications cannot be used in conjunction with the Acne Bootcamp program.
Can I be on the program while pregnant or breastfeeding?
Absolutely! We will have to take a slower and more gentle approach since a number of products that are typically used, cannot be used when pregnant or breastfeeding. Both pregnancy and breastfeeding bring a multitude of hormonal changes which can make your progress very nonlinear and a bit more unpredictable. Fetal development takes priority over clearing acne, so some products or ingredients that may be deemed "not acne safe" should still be used if recommended by your OB/GYN. If you are planning to or become pregnant while already on the program, this will change the timeline and course of treatment. When joining the program, you agree to inform us immediately if you become pregnant.
How long does the program take?
For some people it only takes between 3-4 months. Depending on the severity of your acne, type of acne, and if we need to address "scars" such as Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation or Erythema, it could take much longer. The program is also very dependent on your commitment to all aspects; including home-care and lifestyle adjustments.
Why do I come in every 2 weeks?
Your bi-monthly appointments speed up the clearing process. The chemical peels, extractions, and any other necessary add-ons address pigmentation, inflammation, and active acne.
