Is Microneedling a Good Fit for You?

We've been needing to fill a gap in our service offerings. We have amazing treatments for acne sufferers, those needing a nice refresh, and those wanting to relax, but we didn't offer two major things: scar revision for residual marks post-Acne Bootcamp and a more intensive treatment for age management.

Microneedling is the answer for both of these! Lets get into it:

Our Acne Bootcamp program does wonders for managing acne and getting your skin to a majority breakout-free spot; however, it doesn't address the oh-so-common acne scars left behind. Almost everyone who has acne has picked a little too hard at a pimple resulting in either a pigmented or textural scar. It's not uncommon to have a face full of scars once you're clear. It's just the unfortunate nature of struggling with acne. Microneedling addresses both pigmented and textural scars by mechanically breaking up this scar tissue while also stimulating the production of new, healthy tissue. It creates Controlled Micro-Injuries, remodels collagen, and resurfaces the skin. It addresses pigmented scars through melanin-redistribution, acceleration of skin cell turnover, and enhanced product absorption.

Our Age Defying and O2 facials are wonderful options for skin maintenance but won't deliver the intense results that microneedling will when it comes to reduction of fine lines, wrinkles, and sun spots. Microneedling treats wrinkles and fine lines by activating the skin’s natural wound-healing process, which leads to collagen regeneration, improved elasticity, and skin resurfacing. Did you know just one session of microneedling can replace an entire year's worth of lost collagen? This means that theoretically, a single session per year will maintain your skin as is, and multiple sessions will start to turn back the clock. While it isn't quite that black and white of an answer, the results are there and speak for themselves.

✔️ Suitable for both men and women, and safe on all skin tones when performed professionally.

Is Microneedling a good fit for you?
Topical numbing cream is used, making this treatment both tolerable and worthwhile!

So, now that we've covered all the amazing benefits of microneedling, we can chat about what makes you a good fit for the service. First thing's first, you have to be okay with a little downtime. While microneedling is minimally invasive, it still comes with 3-5 days of downtime. This means for 3-5 days post-treatment you might experience some dryness, flakiness, redness, sensitivity, etc. You can review our "Microneedling" page for a whole list of pre and post-treatment guidelines, but it's important to know that there are some things you'll have to take a break from, like intense exercise and sweating, certain products, makeup (only for 24 hours), and the list goes on.

Due to the nature of this treatment, there are some conditions and/or medications that may disqualify you from being able to receive it.
